The Story Behind “Profit From Happiness”:

Throughout our 20+ year career we’ve coached so many people who have challenges with other
people they work with, either AS a boss or BY their boss. We’ve heard the frustration and pain
expressed from both sides, the cost to profits and success of a business is huge, and on the
personal level the frustration gets taken out on loved ones, friends and family at home.

We could make a difference on the personal level individually with my clients, but making
a difference in the big picture – NO – that is not until now!

Gallup says 7 out of 10 people are not engaged or are actively disengaged at work. This stat doesn’t
change much year after year. It’s like we just accept that’s the way it is. “Get over it & live with it” is
the attitude that’s taken.

And that’s not acceptable to us, not when we know that it doesn’t have to be that way.

Recently Robert  had a shower idea (he always seems to get his best ideas in the shower). Elements from his
past experiences and new research on happiness just fit together into an idea that could REALLY work to reverse this situation.

It all connects to a statement made to him by Laura Whitworth, one of the founders of
The Coaches Training Institute (CTI), 20 years ago. She said “All the problems in the world
exist simply because people don’t know how to treat one another, and we can change that.” This statement has stuck with him ever since.

What came to him in the shower was an answer to the question: How can business leaders experience and learn how to better treat people such that they become happy and engaged in their jobs? An experience that sticks!
